31st July 2004 Windsurfing: Oosterleek, Ijsselmeer, Holland Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F3 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 28ºC Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: After a day in Amsterdam where it was around 35ºC we decided to stay cool by the Ijsselmeer. There was just enough wind for some cruising around checking out the yachts. I sailed straight out for about 45 minutes towards the yachts in the distance and then carried on until I could only just make out the shoreline that I had left. I still couldn’t see the other side, this is one large lake! A few more long reaches and then a play nearer to the shore and lots of flare gybes. |
